They are perfect for parties, after-school snacks, or a simple dessert everyone can enjoy.

Puppy Chow Bars
Ingredients
- 6 cups gluten-free crispy rice cereal or gluten-free corn squares
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3 TB coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar or powdered coconut sugar for a lighter option
Instructions
- Line an eight-inch or nine-inch square pan with parchment paper.
- Place the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and coconut oil in a medium saucepan. Warm over low heat until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the cereal to a large bowl. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir gently until every piece is coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press firmly to create an even layer.
- Sprinkle the powdered sugar across the top.
- Chill for at least one hour until the bars are firm.
- Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Chef Tips:
- If you want cleaner slices, press the mixture very firmly into the pan and chill longer for a solid set.
- Add half a cup of mini chocolate chips or chopped peanuts for extra texture.
- If you prefer less sweetness, reduce the powdered sugar by half or skip it completely.
