This is a cleaner that my awesome StepMom Jo Ann developed. Thanks for the great cleaner!!! I store mine in a recycled apple cider vinegar bottle and a spray top. That way I don’t have to deal with any plastic stuff leaching into my cleaner
What you need:
- Isopropyl Alcohol —Â where to buy
- Distilled water
- Liquid Dish Soap
- Glass bottle, use an old apple cider vinegar bottle like I do! —Â where to buy
How to:
In your glass bottle mix:
- 1-1/2 cups isopropyl alcohol
- 2-1/2 cups distilled water
- 1/4 tsp liquid dishwashing soap
This cleaner is a very effective grease cutter, so it’s pretty handy around the kitchen especially if you have a glass-top range or granite counter tops, it leaves them sparkling clean.

I love the idea of using a glass bottle for cleaners. Where did you get the spray nozzle for the bottle? Thank you.
You can find them here: https://amzn.to/1rjN5ql
Or just use old tops from cleaners that you have used up and are throwing away, be sure to wash them out well.
Thank you very much.
Is the dishwashing soap….dawn? Or what?
It’s any dishsoap that you have in your home.
Any recommendation on a good one? Most dish soap has SLS in it. At least that’s what I’m finding.
I use this one: https://realfoodrn.com/thieves-dish-soap/
Just made this and used it on my NASTY windows that 4 children are regularly touching…and wow! It works amazing! Thanks so much for the recipe!
Awesome, so glad you like it! 🙂
Is isopropyl alcohol a chemical that’s safe to be used in DIYs?
Yes, it evaporates
