- 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
- 1–2 tbsp lime juice, fresh is best and you can even add a little zest
- 1–2 tsp raw honey (or maple syrup or allulose (optional)
- ½ cup cold water or coconut water
- Ice cubes optional, for a thicker slushie
Freeze the watermelon: Cut the watermelon into cubes and freeze them for at least 2–3 hours (or overnight) on a baking sheet.
Blend: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen watermelon, lime juice, sweetener (if using), and water. Blend until smooth.
Adjust: Add more water if it’s too thick or a few ice cubes for extra slushiness.
Serve immediately in a chilled glass with a lime wedge or mint sprig for garnish.
Variations:
- Add mint or basil for a fresh twist.
- Mix in a few frozen strawberries, raspberries, or pineapple chunks for extra flavor.
- Make it adult-friendly with a splash of vodka or rum.
