Bring the chicken bone broth to a simmer in a large pan and add the grits, stirring until it has cooked through, approx. 15-20 minutes.
Stir in the milk for added creaminess and add all the grated cheese. Stir well until the cheese melts the consistency.
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and divide between four warm bowls. Add a pinch of smoked paprika over each bowl and garnish with chilies for an extra kick!
Notes
You can also make your own homemade bone broth. You could use polenta as a substitute for grits (as I did in my pics), but you may need to adjust your cooking times slightly, as it won’t require that much time in the pan to cook through sufficiently.
