Whether you prefer thick or thin patties, grilled or cooked on the stovetop, this versatile recipe guarantees the best and simplest hamburger patties every time! These mouthwatering homemade burgers are juicy, flavorful, and ready in about 30 minutes, making them a must-have for your next barbecue.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until completely softened, around 6-7 minutes. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook until the onions start to turn dark golden. Stir continuously to avoid the garlic burning.
Stir in the Sriracha and Worcestershire sauce and cook until all the excess moisture evaporates, around another 1-2 minutes. Season, remove from the heat, and leave to cool.
Place the ground beef in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Add in the egg and cooked onion mixture and mix well to evenly combine.
Create 4 equal portions, then form into patties.
Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400°.
Place the patties onto a baking sheet and brush the tops with a little olive oil.
Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes. If you decide to add cheese to your burgers, place a little pile of grated cheese on top of the patties in the last 5 minutes of cooking to melt.
Serve the patties with your choice of toppings. If you live low carb, enjoy bunless burgers!
