Green Smoothie for Kids

If you've got picky eaters, this is a great way to sneak in more fruits and veggies - green smoothie!!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large green apples lower sugar
  • 5 large leaves of purple kale
  • 2 stalks celery
  • cup lemon juice to give it a lemonade flavor
  • 1 cup water
  • A small piece of fresh ginger

Instructions
 

  • 1. Core the apples.
  • 2. Cut the spine off of the kale.
  • 3. Cut the white part off the celery.
  • 4. Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender until liquefied (we use our Vitamix every day!).
  • 5. Pour the blended mixture through the finest strainer you have, over a bowl to catch the juice.
  • 6. Do what you want with the pulp, I use it to make frozen baby food.
  • 7. Now put it into fun glasses and enjoy.
