Welcome to Real Food RN! A blog with the mission to empower you to live your healthiest life possible, starting today.

Sunday-snapshot

The Snapshot for this Sunday was taken last weekend on my husbands parents farm. We were helping feed the baby calf his milk. My kids were entranced! I think it is important to teach kids where their food comes from so they can have a better understanding and appreciation for it. We are so far removed from our food source these days. Kids can’t list 10 vegetables but they can recognize over 100 brand names. We need to get back to REAL FOOD and treat it with kindness and love.

A survey of 27,500 children aged five to 16, which claims to be the largest poll of its kind, also reveals that over a third of five to eight-year-olds think pasta comes from animals!
